My wonderful husband likes to challenge my baking skills with odd suggestions and combinations, so when I say ” I feel like baking, what should I make?” he often comes up with somewhat of a challenge.
Last night he challenged me to make a Yorkshire pudding dessert…interesting…I accepted the challenge and started to brainstorm. I was thinking of how something so savory could be made into a sweet treat. I made chocolate Yorkshire puddings by making the recipe as usual with less salt, about 1/4 cup of good quality cocoa, about 2 tbsp. of sugar and a Hershey kiss in the centre of each. I did over bake them a bit, but they were still pretty good. Would be delicious served warm and perhaps with a little clotted cream on top. If you like the texture of Yorkshire pudding, this is a fun treat…
